Arrieta
The township of Arrieta is situated in the north - eastern part of the island. In recent years it has seen quite an actvity of building new housing areas there, partially touristic, but mainly weekend houses and flats for the locals. One of the reasons certainly is the beautiful small beach that is ideal for swimming, but the main charm is the originality of the location, where traditionaly music´s in the air on the weekend and some old established bars and restaurants allure with local specialities, especially fresh fish dishes.
