The roads in the village are nothing more than sandy tracks and the beach is wild and left to nature. A strong northerly wind blows almost constantly making it uncomfortable to be on the beach, but creating great waves for the surfer.
Restaurants in Famara are reasonable priced, if you enjoy fresh local fish, you'll definitely find it here. With the backdrop of the cliffs and the mist created by the wind and sea, this is a landscape of extraordinary beauty and strangeness
Famara
Famara lies away from the usual tourist route. The village lies in a wide open landscape at the foot of incredible mighty cliffs. Small white houses are dotted about in a purely random way.
