Las Brenas
On the road from Femés to Playa Blanca lies the village of `Las Brenas´. The village is not especially big but has a small and neat church and beautifully restored Canarian houses. Local and resident inhabitants enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this very quiet location.
The village lying in the south of Lanzarote is still pretty much unaffected by the tourism and has wonderful views over the Timanfaya national park the west coast the saltworks of Janubio and up to the Montaña Roja with Playa Blanca.
Originally the residence of the saltwork workers the peace of the not so remote village has lured also a number of foreigners of all possible nationalities looking for a peaceful and relaxed environment to settle.
